So here’s the gist: Nike got Dinosaur Junior frontman, J. Mascis, to design a pair of shoes. Why does one of the biggest symbols of 90s grunge, of the torn plaided flannel generation, the “I’m a loser Baby” kids, work with bigtime sweatshop corporation, Nike? I don’t know if there’s a possible justification. But since it is interesting, and I have my own double standards (nobody’s perfect), here are J. Mascis’ Nike pumps. Happy now?
And here are the Dinosaurs in Start Choppin:

Just a little fyi, selling out implies theres cash being made by J Mascis/Dinosaur jr, they are not receiving any cash from the deal, Nike asked J Mascis to design a shoe, he thought it was a fun idea…theres the shoe.
As for the sweatshop deal, think people try to balance those situations, like you said nobodies perfect, btw buy J Mascis J & Friends Sing for Amma, all money donated to tsumani Amma charities
read the slapskateboard article on J Mascis/Dinosaur Jr’s musical contribution to many skate videos for their impact on some of the early skaters out there…
