Fall Out Boy video: This ain’t a scene it’s an Arms Race

Fall Out Boy

I am not sure you want me to state my opinion of Fall Out Boy’s music. BUT, since I am a positive, generous kind of person, and I understand that the world does not revolve around me, I am posting a recent Fall Out Boy music video, for “This ain’t a Scene it’s an Arms Race”. And joking aside, I have to say this video is pretty funny: it starts out with the band doing a boring music video shoot in front of a dummy crowd made out of carton figures (could this be some kind of statement about the nature of Fall Out Boy’s fan base?) then the band goes off to record a new song with a leading hip hop producer: they all stand in a dark recording studio, surrounded by hip hop moguls with brown bagged forties and mean stares. But you wouldn’t believe what happens next! Homeboys start digging Fall Out’s music! It rocks out! Later on, a perverted old man gets emo “pretty boy”, Peter Wenz, to strip and a gang of horny girls download the pictures and are wowed by Pete’s package. The saga continues, but I’m done with the play by play. Check it out yourselves:

Here’s Fall Out Boy’s video for “This Ain’t a Scene It’s an Arms Race”:

Terrible, as predicted. Anyway, the carton people at the beginning remind me of the “Through the Glass” video by Stone Sour. Is this the new deal? carton extras for carton music?

I liked it. It was cool. I don’t care what people think about it, it was really good.

the board people at the beginning of the vid is obviously the aftermath of the dance dance video hence the small clip of it once they stop playing it, I doubt they feel that way about their fans
