You’d think people were intelligent enough to realize that a card featuring a hologram switching between images of Fogell and McLovin isn’t actually a legal driver’s license. The state of Hawaii disagrees, and has asked that Wal-Mart stop selling their exclusive Special Edition DVD, less the Superbad bonus item fall into the wrong hands. And wait until you hear who Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann thinks the wrong hands is:

Hannemann said the city has notified police, the Honolulu Liquor Commission, the Homeland Security Department and other agencies about the cards.

That’s right… The Department of Homeland Security! What does he think terrorist are going to try entering the country with a McLovin driver’s license? You can’t even enter the United States using a real driver’s license… good grief.

Anyway, it looks like the security crisis has been averted, as Wal-Mart has voluntarily removed the Special Edition Superbad DVD in Hawaii, though they haven’t yet made a decision about discontining the product nationally.
