This weekend we’ll dig deep into some fresh cutting edge electronica! Sounds that will make you move and think at the same time… that’s a full body exercise!

Our first stimulator is hot new track made by veteran French producer, I:Cube. His real name is Nicholas Chaix and along such French artists as Air and Daft Punk, was one of the most hyped underground acts on Paris’ resurging dance scene during 1996-97. Similar in some respects to his colleagues, I:Cube’s near-comprehensive fusion of the range of minimal electronic dance music styles - a molten concoction of funk, soul, electro, trance, Chicago house, and Detroit techno, first surfaced through the “Disco Cubism” single in 1996 and since then he’s considered as one of the leading electronic producers, worldwide. I:Cube’s new single “Acid Tablet” is being released this weekend and is a dirty, funky little tech-house stormer! Check it out on his label’s Myspace page.

We’re moving on to a fresh new broken-beat piece, made by Lusine. Lusine is the brainchild of Jeff McIlwain for his visceral, melodic vision of abstract electronic music. Having attended Cal Arts to study 20th century electronic music and sound design for music and film, he first began creating his lush interpretation of IDM many years ago. Since then, he has recorded for labels such as !K7/MAS, Hymen and Delikatessen, all aside from his prolific output for pioneering American IDM label Isophlux. Lusine is one of the foremost American producers in the abstract field and an artist with a boundless future in his craft. “Weaver” is taken from his latest E.P. “Emerald”, released a few months back, and it sounds like a mixture between Radiohead’s melancholic textures and Autechre’s cold electronica sounds. Check it out on Ghostly records Myspace page.

Next is a new kid on the block, German producer Martin Buttrich. This young producer has just released his debut single on the most respected “Planet E.” record label, managed by Detroit’s own Carl Craig, which is considered as one of the leading electronic music labels of all time. Buttrich’s sound is minimal, funky and warm as hell. Check out the track “Full Clip” (and also the B side, entitled “Programmer”), on his Myspace page.

We’ll finish this weekend bubble bath with a freaky new track made by Britain’s own Radio Slave. Matt Edwards is one of the most respected producers of current British electronica. Best known for his dirty remixes for acts such as Bob Sinclare, Benny Bennasy and… Sir Paul McCartney, Radio Slave has also something to say as a solo artist. On his Myspace page, u can check his forthcoming single, “Secret Base” and also his fresh boot remix for the Raconteurs’ hit “Steady as She Goes”!.
May the force be with you!
