While the rest of Hollywood is either on the picket line or working on their golf game, there’s still one group who realize life is to short to let down a public that does not quite look up to them.
That’s right the Munchkins from “The Wizard of Oz” just received the 2,352nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Tuesday; and seven living Munchkins mostly avoided embarrassing themselves; with only a couple of the 80 and 90 year olds showed up in full costume.
Walk of Fame awards are notorious for being bought instead of earned, yes even Lassie has one; but as the Wizard of Oz had premiered 68 years earlier right there at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, for once the occasion felt appropriate.
